HAGERSTOWN, Md. (7News) — Reporter's Notebook: According to employment forecasts, the aviation industry will need more than 100-thousand new aircraft mechanics over the next 20 years to keep planes operational and travelers safe in our skies. The encouraging news is that an area school for aeronautics in Hagerstown, Maryland recently landed two remarkable teaching tools for students studying to become aircraft mechanics. In the late 1920s, Orville Wright opened the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.
